When Kaniskaa Rubber Industries began manufacturing rubber bands in Coimbatore in 2008, the fluorescent rubber band segment in India was underdeveloped. Most rubber bands available were brown or cream — natural latex colour — with limited brightness and shelf life. We saw an opportunity to do something different.

Starting from Scratch in Coimbatore

We established our first production unit in Perianaicken Palayam, Coimbatore. Coimbatore was the right choice — Tamil Nadu's strong latex supply chain, the city's manufacturing heritage, and its logistics infrastructure gave us the foundation we needed.

The early years involved significant R&D — developing the fluorescent compound formulation that would become our signature product. Getting the colour, elongation, shelf life and biodegradability to work together required years of refinement.

Building a Distribution Network

By 2013, we had 50+ B2B customers across 12 states. By 2019, 120+ distributors across 25+ states. Today we supply all 28 Indian states — from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Gujarat to Assam.
